Food Intolerance Test
Food and environmental allergies have been implicated in a wide range of medical conditions from mildly uncomfortable symptoms such as indigestion to severe illnesses like celiac disease and arthritis. At Wimbledon Clinic of Natural Medicine, we offer comprehensive allergy profiling of up to 200 foods and a specific test for vegetarians and vegans. It doesn’t have side effects and it is therefore, ideal for infants and children, as well as adults. Food Intolerance testing can help to identify unsuspected foods and the likely causes of both immediate and delayed reactions. Once the problem foods have been identified, we then design a tailored treatment programme to help manage the patient’s intolerance or to minimise and, where possible, eliminate exposure.
Are you reacting to the foods you eat?
Find out about yourself with a quick indicator test today!
A basic indicator test is the first step for testing anyone who wants to identify the presence of IgG antibody food reaction to confirm whether your symptoms are related to foods. It provides you with a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ result before it goes on to the second step of thorough test programs. The indicator test utilises a new, state of the art immunoassay based on microarray technology to detect food-specific IgG antibodies, which give you the most accurate test result.
How Does It Work?
The indicator test is carried out on a blood sample collected from a finger-prick to be tested in our accredited laboratories. If your test turns out negative it is unlikely that you have foods intolerance, if you test positive it is necessary to upgrade your test to the comprehensive second stage of programmes to identify which foods you are mostly reactive to. Our food intolerance tests are ranging from herbs & spices test, vegetarian test, vegan test, 40, 60, 90 to 200+ foods test.
Upgrading from indicator test to comprehensive food intolerance tests is very easy and straight forward. Once we receive your indicator test result, we will inform you either by telephone or email. If indicator test is positive, you can request the test to be upgraded without any further samples. However, if you decide to upgrade the test after one month of receiving your indicator test result, you will need to take the indicator test again.
